WORKSHOPS

At Amairani, we value the connection with the land and learning ancestral techniques that allow us to live more sustainably. In June 2023, we held the Clay Oven Workshop with Mauricio Arnillas, where participants learned to build their own oven using natural materials, respecting the cycles of the earth and honoring the wisdom of our ancestors. Through this hands-on workshop, we explored the importance of clay, wood, and fire in traditional cooking, and how these elements combine to create food full of flavor and energy.

Guided by Mauricio Arnillas, an expert in green construction and artisanal techniques, the workshop allowed attendees to build a clay oven from scratch and reconnect with the slow and natural cooking process. In addition to the construction, we delved into the benefits of this method, the history behind its use in various cultures, and the magic of fire in the transformation of food.
